Real Event · Wedding
A wedding at one of the island's most-loved restaurants, an old colonial house full of candlelight, art and tiled corners — and our retro vintage booth tucked in among the paintings. One of the nicest nights we had all summer.
The Venue
Casa Colonial sits on the main road between Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia, in the stretch near San Carlos where the island still feels like the old Ibiza. It's an Ibicenco farmhouse turned restaurant, and it's been a fixture on the island for decades — French-Asian cooking, but really it's the building people fall for. Whitewashed walls, wooden beams, hand-painted tiles, candles everywhere, and art on every surface. There's a colonial feel to it, which is where the name comes from.
It's not a big purpose-built wedding venue. It's a restaurant with soul, the kind of place a couple picks because they've eaten there and loved it, and they want their wedding to feel like that — intimate, warm, a bit bohemian. Which is exactly what this one was.

The Event
This was a smaller wedding, the sort where everyone knows everyone by the end of the night. The couple had chosen Casa Colonial for exactly the reasons you'd expect: they wanted somewhere that felt personal, not a hotel ballroom. And they were right. By the time the plates were cleared and the candles were the only light left, the whole place had that glow that only happens at the good ones.
We'll be honest — this was one of our favourite bookings of the summer, and a lot of that was the venue. The Casa Colonial team looked after us properly. They found us the perfect spot for the booth, sorted the power without any fuss, and treated the whole thing like they wanted the night to go as well as we did. That doesn't always happen. When it does, you remember it.
The booth ran through the evening while people drifted between the tables, the bar and the garden. Guests came over in twos and threes, grabbed the props, and went back to their seats with a strip of film still developing in their hands. By the end, the couple had a guest book full of photos and messages, and we had a set of pictures we're still a bit proud of.
The Booth
At a venue like Casa Colonial, with all that wood and old-world character, a modern white booth would have looked wrong. So we brought the retro vintage booth — the handcrafted wooden cabinet on its easel, which honestly looked like it had always lived there among the paintings on the walls. A few guests thought it was part of the furniture until they saw the screen.
The retro booth is our pick for exactly this kind of wedding: rustic venues, boho couples, anywhere the aesthetic matters as much as the fun. The film-strip prints suit the setting, and the wooden cabinet becomes part of the décor rather than fighting it. For a finca or an old restaurant like this, it's the obvious choice.

Planning a Wedding Near Santa Eulalia?
The stretch between Santa Eulalia and San Carlos is full of venues like this — restaurants and fincas with real character, tucked off the main road. If you're getting married at Casa Colonial, or somewhere like it in the area, we've worked there and we know how these smaller venues run. The booth that fits, where it goes, how to keep out of the way while still being part of the night.
